Switzerland’s largest AI society partnered with the country’s prime professional association for data science to bring both communities together – the result has been the 4th Swiss Conference on Data Science, presented by D|ONE and co-organized by SGAICO and the Swiss Association for Data-Intensive Services.
BBC has published an interesting article on how easily machine learning algorithms can be mistaken by small changes in data. See http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20170410-how-to-fool-artificial-intelligence for more information. The article also refers to recent research at EPFL by Dez Seyed-Mohsen Moosavi-Dezfooli, Alhussein Fawzi, Omar Fawziz, and Pascal Frossardy on universal adversarial perturbations.
SGAICO will hold elections during its annual meeting in November 2017 to renew the steering board. We welcome all active members who want to throw their hats into the ring and help us to further grow this community. Please contact us via the contacts page.
As last year, we are planning and organizing several interesting events. Current highlights include the AI in Industry track at the Swiss Data Science Conference in Bern and the AI in Finance Summit. See our event calendar
SGAICO moved to the new sgaico.swissinformatics.org site. Please update your bookmarks. Our old site as s-i.ch now only features our event archive until end of 2016. For all current information, please visit the new website.
